One week after its release in Japan, the second Blu-ray / DVD compilation package of the anime adaptation by Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid (The Duke of Death and his black maid) cumulative only 291 copies sold. Only the Blu-ray version sales are included in the figure, as DVD sales were so low that they didn't hit the record.
The package was released in Japan on October 13th and contains the third and fourth episodes of this adaptation. Both the Blu-ray and DVD versions cost 7,700 yen (about $ 74), and the benefits include audio commentary from voice actors and clips from the previously broadcast radio show.
The series premiered during the 2021 summer season (July-September) with a total of twelve episodes while the platform Funimation takes care of sales in the west. Ikami, for his part, publishes the manga via the portal Sunday webry from the publisher Shogakukan since October 2017. Production of a sequel has been confirmed but it has not been confirmed whether it will be a second season or a feature film.

- Yoshiki Yamakawa (Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka, High score girl, Little Buster!) was responsible for directing the anime in the studios JCSTAFF in collaboration with studios SMDEwho edited the CGI animation.
- Hideki-Shirane (Boku no Kanojo ga Majimesugiru Sho bitch na Ken, Date a live, Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka) was responsible for writing and overseeing the scripts.
- Michiru Kuwabata (High score girl, Penguin no Mondai) was responsible for the character design.

Cursed by a witch as a child, a young duke gained the unwanted power to kill every living being he touched. Forced to move away from his family and move into a large mansion deep in the forest, the Duke is treated as if he did not exist and is constantly shunned by his companions. However, he is not entirely alone. Rob and Alice, his butler and maid, are always by his side. Alice loves to tease him, and as their relationship grows, the Duke sets out to break free of his deadly curse. Of course he will need help, and who better to do that than the various denizens of the supernatural?
