On the official page for the upcoming original anime by Chukyo TV and animation studios sublimation, Shikizakura, a new commercial was published for the project. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for October 9th in Japan.
The series premiered its first episode during the event Anime Expo Lite last July 4th. The premiere was actually planned for the beginning of this year, but there was an unexplained change in the production. The series is also confirmed with twelve episodes of thirty minutes each and a manga adaptation by the hand of Hayato Aoki currently in publication.

Production team
- Shinya sugai (Walking meat) is responsible for the general direction of the anime in the studios sublimation (Love life! Sunshine !!, Ghost in the Shell Arise), with Tomoyasu Nishimura (Junketsu no Maria – Sorcière de gré, pucelle de force, Seirei no Moribito) in the production. Both are also board members of sublimation.
- K&K design Character design is credited.
- Gou Kurosaki (on his debut as an animation project director) is responsible for directing the anime.
- Naruki Nagakawa (Ergo Proxy, Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko: Everything flows, scared rider Xechs) is responsible for writing and maintaining the scripts.
- Manabu Watanabe is responsible for the character design based on the original designs of Ryou Inou.
Shikizakura synopsis
Shikizakura, the time when the cherry blossoms bloom while the other trees are painted in the colors of autumn. In this special place, where the ephemeral world meets the spirit world, a ritual to save humanity begins … High school student Kakeru Miwa, through a strange twist to an irregular member of a team, uses mechanical suits to fight demons. These demons own people and are trying to reach the perishable world. Only the mechanical suit “Yoroi”, which combines ancient secrets with the latest technology, can protect people from demons. Kakeru then decides to become a hero and protect Ouka Myoujin, the shrine maiden destined to save the world.
