On the official page for the anime adaptation of Light Novels written by Ryo Shirakome, Shokugyou Arifureta by Sekai Saikyou (Arifureta: from everyday to strongest in the world) a promotional video was posted for the second season of the project. The video maintains and confirms the release date planned for January 2022 in Japan MindaRyn will play the opening song entitled "Daylight".

On the other hand, Ryou Shirakome publishes these light novels with illustrations by Takayaki about the publisher OVERLAP since June 2015. The work already has more than 5 million copies in cumulative circulation and the first season was produced by the studios white foxIt had thirteen episodes and aired in July 2019.

High school student Hajime Nagumo is bullied by his classmates for dating the school idol Kaori. When he and the rest of the class are transported into a fantastic world, all of his companions receive powerful magical abilities, while Hajime only receives basic alchemy magic to transform solid materials, a common sight for blacksmiths. During an attack on a dungeon, he is betrayed by one of his companions and thrown to the bottom. Hajime survives the fall and begins making weapons to escape the dungeon and become stronger. On his way he meets the vampire Yue and is later accompanied by the rabbit-eared girl Shea, the perverted dragon Tio and others.
