The editorial Kadokawa announced that the series of easy novels by Yuka Tachibana and illustrated by Yasuyuki Syuri, Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou desu, will inspire an anime adaptation. The format of the project was not specified in the instruction.

Tachibana began posting the novels on the website Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2016 by the publisher Kadokawa. The publisher published the first volume on paper with illustrations by Yasuyuki Syuri in February 2017. A manga adaptation by Fujiazuki’s hand will also be published on the website Comic walker since July 2017.

Synopsis of Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou desu

Sei, a 20-year-old office worker, is transported to a whole new world. Unfortunately, the ritual used to transport it (originally intended to bring forth a “saint” who would banish the darkness of the world) brought two people instead of one.

Unfortunately, everyone chooses the second girl instead of her, but that’s okay with Sei, who leaves the royal palace to set up a shop and sell potions and cosmetics with his newly acquired magic. Business is booming and this could be a pretty good new life … until the kingdom realizes that Be was the real “saint”.
