On the official site for the multimedia franchise of resident Evil (known as “biohazard‘ in Japan) a new promotional video has been unveiled for the new CG animated film to be titled Resident Evil: Death Island. The film will be a direct sequel to the film. Resident Evil: Vendetta and the video confirms that The premiere is scheduled for July 7th in theaters in Japan..
Next to, Resident Evil: Vendetta was released in North American theaters in June 2017, following its release in Japan in May of the same year. The film was the third CG animated film in the franchise thereafter Resident Evil: Degeneration 2008 & Resident Evil: Doom in 2012.

Summary of Resident Evil: Death Island
DSO Agent Leon S. Kennedy is on a mission to apprehend Dr. Saving Antonio Taylor from kidnappers when a mysterious woman thwarts his pursuit. Meanwhile, BSAA agent Chris Redfield investigates a zombie outbreak in San Francisco where the source of the infection cannot be identified. The only thing the victims have in common is that they all recently visited Alcatraz Island. Following this lead, Chris and his team head to the island where a new horror awaits.
