On the official website for the animated adaptation of the video game for smartphones developed by Cygames, Princess Connect! Re: diving, a new promotional video and image has been released for the second season of the project. The press release confirmed that the series premiered in Japan in January 2022.
The first season premiered in April 2020 and comprised a total of thirteen episodes. Cygames announced that actually Princess Connect! Re: diving it would be the continuation of the game Princess Connect! released in 2016. Compilation volumes released only in Blu-ray format achieved excellent sales, surpassing each of the twenty thousand units sold at the time. On the other hand, the original video game is available worldwide on mobile devices.
Production team

Summary of Princess Connect! Re: diving
On the continent of Astraea, a man falls from the sky who can only remember his own name. An elf girl named Kokkoro appears before him as his guide in this world they are about to explore. With Kokkoro’s guidance, Yuuki can learn how the world works, from fighting monsters to economics.
To earn money for their trip, Yuuki and Kokkoro decide to join the guild association and take on simple missions. In one of them they meet Pecorine, a voracious but charming girl who is well versed in combat, and shortly afterwards they meet Karyl, a cat-girl who specializes in magic. After a while, friendship develops between the fourth and they decide to form their own guild. But as their adventures progress, they will also discover the secrets behind Yuuki’s lost memories.
