The plot of the next Pokémon movie is clearly taken from one of the anime’s first episodes. The franchise is no stranger to the recycling issue, but this time around the authors of Pokémon: Secrets of the Jungle they may have exaggerated.

The twenty-third feature film in the franchise, titled Pokémon: Secrets of the Jungle, will be released in Italy during 2021. The plot of the film centers on Koko, a child raised in the wild by Zardue, one of Pokémon Sword & Shield’s unreleased monsters.
