The latest iteration of the anime turned out to be more than ever Celebration of Ash Ketchum’s journeyas it opens up the whole world of Pokemon to all sorts of new battles and adventures. Ash fought his way through the ranks of the World Coronation Series and met many old allies and rivals from the past that fans love so much.

Part of the fun of the series is seeing how many characters have changed since they last appeared in the anime, and as Pokémon Expeditions hints at what’s to come with its reopening, even more familiar faces are gearing up for their return. This includes the return of Gary Oak, irisI Alolan Characters and even Paul. Below are all the previews of these important returns.

The latest opening it will likely be the last for Pokemon Expeditions, and for this reason it was created to make a splash among the fans. While much of the opening is an elegant hint of what’s to come, fans have noticed this at previous openings The characters present actually appeared in the series. This means that the quick insights from Paulthe Ash’s Greninja and many others will almost certainly take place in future episodes of the series. But unfortunately it is not yet known when exactly these returns will take place.

Each of these characters can appear in both a small cameo role as part of Ash and Goh’s travels through the regions, or they may appear as such Part of Ash’s future battles through the World Coronation Series. It also makes the thought of this return that much more exciting and what might be even more surprising for the future of the series.
