The prestigious World Coronation Series competition has been the setting for some of the most exciting fights in the entire series Pokemon: Explorationsand before the curtain goes down for good, one of the best coaches in the world appears to have made a very important decision about his future.
Ash Ketchum's rise to the tournament has been marked by hard-fought victories and the release of some of fan-favorite characters. To reach the coveted final against reigning champion Dandel, Ash must go head-to-head with the greatest champion in the Pokémon world and a great archaeologist from the Sinnoh region: Camilla. In both video games and anime, Camilla has repeatedly shown her incredible talent as a trainer, thanks to her team of particularly difficult Pokémon such as Garchomp and Spiritomb.
An icon of the franchise, but one that seems poised to retire permanently from the competitive scene and tournaments. As you can see in the AnipokeFandom post below, during a conversation with Diantha, Camilla explains that she wants to end Pokémon battles after the World Coronation Series ended, despite being confident that she can win against Ash.
