On the official site for the original anime Gibiate A new promotional image for the project was published. The series has its premiere scheduled for next July.

The overall project includes collaborations with artists such as the doll maker Mataro Kanabayashi, the sword maker Kunihisa Kunihisa, the calligrapher and artist Sisyu, and the president of the shamisen company Komatsuya Co., Ltd., Hideo Komatsu.
Gibiate Synopsis
Year 2030: Japan. A virus has infected humans worldwide. The infected become monsters according to their ages, sexes and races. The virus was called "Gibia".
Just then, a samurai and a ninja appear in this desolate Japan. Both traveled from the ancient Edo period, and will fight together to help a doctor find a cure for Gibia.
Facing multiple and incessant Gibia monsters and various survivors searching for food, they will begin the dangerous journey to resolve this world conflict.
