Original anime Odd Taxi exceeds 2,000 reservations on Blu-ray BOX

Last month, the production of the original anime Strange taxi announced that reservations for its Blu-ray BOX package compilation had exceeded 1,000 reservations. In fact, this production chose not to take any unnecessary risks, having announced prior to this announcement that they would not release a compilation package if reservations did not exceed 300 units.

The official Twitter account was updated again this morning to announce that 2,000 reservations have been exceeded. In this figure, all packages contain a thematic eraser (a concept within the series) and other benefits will be prepared when an additional 1,000 reservations are made.

Originally, given the recent drop in Anime Blu-ray / DVD sales, there was no plan to release a Blu-ray BOX, but after receiving many inquiries, the project got the green light. The more orders come in, the more additional items will be added. The set costs 27,500 yen (approximately $ 249) and orders will be placed between June 29 and September 30, 2021. The market launch is planned for March 2022.

When 900 orders were reached at the end of July, the anime’s official Twitter account announced: «The Blu-ray BOX accepts orders from abroad. English website will be published shortly». On the other hand is the original series produced by the studios OLM In collaboration with PICTURES, aired during the spring 2021 season (April-June), with thirteen episodes.

Strange taxi synopsis
