On the official page for the original anime Renmei Kuugun Koukuu Mahou Ongakutai Luminous Witches (Allied Air Force Magical Idols Luminous Witches), better known simply as Luminous witches, it became known that the premiere had been postponed to 2022 due to “various circumstances”. The premiere was planned for this year in Japan.
On December 23, an OVA in Blu-ray format was released in Japan, the same day that the second single by the voice actor unit of the same name, entitled “Aozora dive“. This is a project derived from Attack witches, this is a multimedia project created by Fumikane Shimada and that started with the publication of a manga by Yoshiyuki Kazumi and that it was deleted with only two volumes.

Summary of luminous witches
The story is a spin-off of the Strike Witches franchise and revolves around a unique troupe of “witches who don’t fight”. Instead, the troupe sings and plays music to protect the smiles of those who have been driven from their villages by the Neuroi.
