Rumors about the production of One-Punch Man 3 have been around for some time, but it has only recently become official. The anime is one of the most anticipatedconsidering that the 12 episodes of JC Staff season 2 blocked the story in the middle of a narrative arc that just ended in the manga though.
After years of silence, with the official announcement of One-Punch Man 3, you can breathe a sigh of relief and reassure the public that the product has not been forgotten. At the moment, however, we only know what the anime’s key visual is, the one with Garou and Saitama back to back, which already heralds a fight between the two. What about the rest? Which studio will take care of One-Punch Man season 3??
So far there have been no confirmations. However, rumors of JC Staff leaving the project have been circulating for some time, so it may not be dealing with Season 3. Surely, after the exploits of the first season, Madhouse’s return would be the best choice, with the animation house already knowing the anime. Studio BONES, which is already adapting Mob Psycho 100, also by ONE, is also one of the possible candidates. Many think instead that it could be Studio MAPPA, which despite the heavy workload is always looking for new projects to animate.
However, nothing should be taken for granted, and at the moment the situation contains too many variables to contemplate which study will come to fruition. Which studio would you like to animate in One-Punch Man 3??
