May 5th is a very important date for fans of ONE PIECE It’s Monkey D. Luffy’s birthday, and of course the community and some industry personalities don’t miss an opportunity to celebrate. The same Mayumi Tanaka, historical voice actress of the protagonist, decided to celebrate this with a very special cake.
After the numerous celebrations of the fans, it could not be missing a tribute from Tanaka, who has now become a real celebrity in the industry and is often present at special events dedicated to the series. In the photos at the bottom of the news, you can see how the voice actress has been doing a symbolic birthday party for Luffyeating a piece of the Gum Gum Fruit Cake that resulted from the collaboration between the series and Cakejp.
As you can see the cake looks like aesthetically identical to the devil fruit eaten by the protagonist and only recently revealed to be the mythological zoo-zoo model Nika, God of the Sun, from whom Luffy appears to have inherited incredible powers and abilities, as revealed during the clash with Emperor Kaido. Finally we leave you with the spoilers of Chapter 1049 of ONE PIECE, which will be released on Manga Plus on Sunday May 15, 2022 and a great cosplay of Boa Hancock.
