Eiichiro Oda is a genius and he’s incorporated a number of elements into his talent as a screenwriter that are quite interesting and intriguing. However, in some cases it happens that the physics of ONE PIECE match the real thing, this is a concrete example of how the ryou works.
The ryou is the ambition of the land of Wa, a technique that Luffy he learned thanks to the old man in the Wano Kuni hyo. Literally translatable as “Flow“, it’s a kind of Armor Ambition where energy flows through the body. Partially different from Haki, the protagonist had to fully understand the importance of the technique and know how to use it properly.
However, the physics behind which the ryou appears to be working captures the reality of a weapon that actually exists: the HESH balls.
