While ONE-PIECE: RED continues to attract millions of viewers in Japanese cinemas, producer Shinji Shimizu participated in interviews, revealing details about the different stages of production and particularly focusing on the original idea that led to the creation of such an original story within the franchise.

Speaking generally about the work conceived by Eiichiro Oda, Shimizu made a rationale that immediately reveals the approach that was also used in pre-production: "The manga turns 25 this year Serialization, and the anime series has also been around for 23 years. The average age of fans has risen over the past 20 years. We have 1000 episodes. Young audiences may have heard of ONE PIECE, but they don't know the series thoroughly and don't have the opportunity to bond with the characters. This new film is an opportunity for me to get closer to the franchise".

When asked which element of the film would appeal to the most people, the producer said: "The music. I think that's one of the main parts of the film. Previous films have not paid much attention to the music. I think it can both affect fans of the series but also attract the new generation."

Finally, we leave you with Shimizu's thoughts on the work on ONE PIECE: Stampede and RED.
