Onigashima falls towards the flower capital of Wano and the culmination of the latest saga ONE PIECE it’s getting more and more intense. Luffy He has the tremendous burden of defeating Kaido by any means necessary since the rest of the fighting on the island has been settled, but while Luffy runs out of energy, Kaido only seems to be getting stronger.
Luffy has already lost to Kaido twice On two separate occasions during the Wano saga and all of them on the Skull Dome, it looked like Luffy was finally ready to win the fight this final time.
While it’s true that an emperor was overthrown and Big Mom was defeated by Law and Kid in ONE PIECE 1040, things got really bad at the end of ONE PIECE chapter 1042. The latest chapter only confirms Kaido was officially crowned the winner of their third fight.
The previous chapter of the series saw theCP0 assassin interferes in the fight between Luffy and Kaido after receiving orders to kill Luffy of the Five Stars of Wisdom and unfortunately this is revealed at the beginning of chapter 1043 The combination of CP0’s interference and Kaido’s final punch was enough to bring Luffy down. The Mugiwara Captain has officially exhausted all of his fourth form Gear breath and falls to the ground in a seemingly lifeless group. It is later revealed by the series narrator that Kaido officially won the battle at the top of the Skull Dome.
After Kaido wins this third round, things are looking pretty grim for all other characters in the rest of the chapter. Kaido victoriously revealed that Luffy is dead and that Mononosuke should now reveal why The war is now over and the rebellion has lost its greatest fighter. In reality, the final moments of ONE PIECE 1043 show us Luffy smiling, ready for a grand and mysterious return.
