the A PIECE of live action Signing Netflix is still largely a mystery. Although some information is from the set or the script, the producers have not yet revealed who will be participating in the project and who will play Luffy and his crew in this first part of the adventure.
It appears that the American giant has stepped up its efforts to complete the live action cast. According to the latest rumors, it actually appears that Netflix contacted actor Ludi Lin to interpret Zoro, the Mugiwara swordsman. Thanks to some photos from the set, it was also possible to see the Going Merry and two other ships built for the occasion.
The portal Production week actually revealed that not long before filming of the Netflix series started, which is expected in the fall of 2021. Supporting this hypothesis is the confirmation that Jason Cho, Assistant to the Showrunner, will be arriving in Cape Town within the next 4 weeks to stay until next summer, a sign that work on the set will soon be completed and live filming can begin. This will consequently push the American giants to speed up the composition of the cast, which is expected to be unveiled to the public in a few weeks.
