While the cover adventures continue the Whole Cake Island saga with the Germa 66 in the foreground, in the ONE PIECE main story things take very special turns. In fact, the Wano saga has been archived and because of this, Eiichiro Oda has decided to focus on the upheavals in the pirate world.

If the last issue had the return of Crocodile and Mihawk, this one didn't have the Secrets of Reverie. in the ONE PIECE 1059 It begins with Katakuri and Oven colliding over Caesar Clown's hallucinogenic gas, then moves on to a Marco being taken to Sphinx Island - Whitebeard's homeland - by Shanks. The Phoenix leaves after refusing to join the crew, thinking back to the final moments in Wano, where Yamato reveals that he wants to stay and protect the island, but that he won't officially tell Momonosuke.

The rest of the chapter moves on to Amazon Lily instead, with a review of the war between Kuja Pirates and the Navy. The new pacifists appear, children who resemble the Lunarians and also remember characters already known as Boa Hancock. The war takes an unexpected turn when Blackbeard arrives in the area with Devon and Vasco Shot. The Serpent Princess enters the battle and petrifies many enemy marines and pirates, but Blackbeard then blocks them with the Dark Dark. Koby is there too, and this three-way standoff is broken by Rayleigh forcing the two invading factions to retreat.

In the finale, Rayleigh and Shakuyaku are with Amazon Lily, it turns out Koby was kidnapped by Blackbeard's crew. What does this mean for the world of ONE PIECE?
