The production process of a chapter begins a long time ago. First, the mangaka has to think about what to include and then prepare the storyboard to present to his editor. Only after many deliberations and decisions does he take the path to writing the actual chapter. Likewise Eiichiro Oda from ONE PIECE follows this path.
The mangaka prepares his drafts and then works on the pages to be colored. Oda's work process is the one that ultimately brings ONE PIECE to the readers of Weekly Shonen Jump. As in the last few weeks, the official report of the manga shows part of this process.
In the following tweet you can see some cartoons and pages extracted from chapter 1058 of ONE PIECE. We'll start at the beginning of the chapter, with the terms of Usopp and Chopper, and then move on to that Close-up of Drakul Mihawk, the former member of the Fleet of Seven who was one of the stars of the chapter along with fellow characters Crocodile and Buggy. Finally there is the nice scene with Luffy in a cage while Sanji and Zoro fight in the background after a size argument.
You can see the signs of cancellations and a very different type of paper than what arrives online cleaned and modified. In the meantime, we need to understand what's next in Chapter 1059 with ONE PIECE.
