Wano’s story arc is now in its final stages. Chapter 1050 of ONE PIECE marks a milestone in one of the series’ most enduring sagas and the most destructive conflict of the entire pirate epic, in which Oda wanted to add a brief but touching scene.
The battle in the Onigashima skies ended in Monkey D. Luffy’s painful and tiring victory. An unexpected result, but one that gives renewed confidence and hope to all Mugiwara rebels and allies who are still committed to fighting the pirates of Kaido. Meanwhile, in the capital of flowers, the fire festival is coming to an enddedicated to the memory of the dead.
Here Eiichiro Oda returns to surprise the readers with a very tender and touching scene. Little Toko, accompanied by Hitetsu, understands how important was the sacrifice of his father Yasuie both for his future and for the future of Wano as a whole. His message and wish expressed on the lantern has therefore changed from “i want to see you dad” to “thanks father“. An interlude capable of warming the heart, and of Make Hitetsu shed a few tears. Tell us what you think of this particular scene by leaving a comment below.
Finally, we leave you with the spoilers of Chapter 1051 of ONE PIECE, where the 11th Mugiwara has been confirmed.
