After Luffy is defeated and thrown into the waters of Wano, Kaido is ready to mount Onigashima to kill the remaining opponents. The Straw Hat Pirates are fighting harder than ever, but in theEpisode 1035 of ONE PIECE anime Defeat seems very close.
The weekly episode of the anime adaptation begins with Momonosuke in excruciating pain. It seems the boy’s head is about to explode, so much so that his screams draw the attention of Kin’emon and Kiku.
Meanwhile on the live floor Chopper continues his fight against Queen and Perospero. While Big Mom’s officer spreads panic with his storm of caramel darts, the Hundred Beasts pirate taunts the enemy who can’t touch him. The Rumble Ball’s effect is about to end, but Chopper intends to honor his Captain and refuses to hit himself. Taking advantage of his Marys in ONE PIECE 1035 Bao Huang proclaims Kaido’s victory for all of Onigashima and calls on the survivors to surrender. However, the Mugiwara do not believe this revelation and continue to fight.
While Kin’emon tries to somehow help Momonosuke, Kanjuro enters the hideout disguised as Kozuki Oden. Taking advantage of his disguise, Kanjuro manages to stab Kiku and once his true identity is revealed, he confronts Kin’emon, his former best friend. Kanjuro brings his latest show to life and dies at the hands of Kin’emon, who then runs off with Momonosuke before more of Kaido’s men arrive. But it really is Yonko to break into the room. Then ONE PIECE 1036 appears.
