David Production, a studio that has made a name for itself over the past few years working on Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure and Fire Force, has formed an alliance with Netflix. The duo brings the anime to the well-known streaming platform Spriggan, based on the manga of the same name published on Shogakukan’s Shonen Sunday Super between 1989 and 1996.

After an initial teaser from Spriggan with lots of posters, we’re reviewing the characters of the anime in action with a video revealed in these hours. The official website of the anime has shared a new trailer from Spriggan. David Production’s project was also suggested in an English subtitled version by Netflix, which also suggested Spriggan’s video on its own channel. In less than a minute, Netflix presents its new production based on the manga of the same name by Ryoji Minagawa and Hiroshi Takashige. In addition to the action scenes and a presentation of the sci-fi setting, we also discover the new planned release date.

Spriggan was originally scheduled for 2021 but production will take additional time to finish and for that Netflix has formalized the postponement of the Spriggan anime to 2022. Other collaborators were also revealed: Akinori Mishima editing, Yukio Nagasaki as sound engineer, Yoshio Obara at the mixer, Hiromune Kurahashi sound effects.
