The video entitled “Translator’s NotesβFocused on explaining the Japanese people’s jokes related to the characters’ names Shouko komi, Milestone Tadano, Agari Ueno, Ren Yamai, Najimi Osana Yes Makeru Yadano.
These jokes are explained in the serialization of the original manga, but not in the anime (And not because of a Netflix question, but has never been explained since the original production). Hence, the names of the characters in this anime are actually puns that reflect their personalities.

Summary of Komi-san wa, Komyushou desu
It’s Shouko Komi’s first day at the prestigious Itan Private Institute, and she’s already the Madonna of the school.
