That teaser trailer of My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog immerses viewers in the narrative universe created by Furukawa. One day, the protagonist of the play wakes up to discover that he has turned into his beautiful classmate Karen Inukai’s pet. Cold and expressionless at school, Karen raves about her little dog, Pochita, at home.
One was also released along with the video clip key visual which portrays the female cast of the series and includes the cast of voice actors. Karen Inukai, Mike Nekotani, Usagi Tsukishiro, and the dog Pochita are voiced by Saya Aizawa, Mayu Sagara, Yurie Kozaki, and Shuichiro Umeda.
My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog Anime is in production at Quad animation studio and the output is programmed January 2023, the month that The Tale of Outcast debuts on Crunchyroll. The opera’s staff includes Hisashi Saito (Date a Live) as visual director, Takashi Ando as director, and Kazuaki Morita (Danganronpa The Animation) as character designer and animation director.
