The last story arc of My Hero Academy proves to be the perfect opportunity to solve many of the problems that have been stuck or only expected in the past. In Chapter 378, available on MangaPlus, Horikoshi brings back two villains willing to work alongside the heroes after realizing past mistakes.
The rage and power displayed by All For One and Tomura Shigaraki, especially after breaking free from the influence of Eraserhead’s powers, still presents a major obstacle for the protagonists to overcome. Midoriya struggles to recover from the severe consequences of using the shifter and is only able to save herself from Shigaraki’s attack thanks to the timely intervention of Gentle Criminal and Lady Nagant.
Almost to make more sense of the title of the chapter “The Story of How We All Became Heroes – Part 1”, the chapter ends with the two former antagonists rescuing Deku, as you can see from the table at the bottom of the page. Based on what the title suggests, this redemption seems to be just the first of many we’ll see during the war that currently sees the heroes at a disadvantage.
