As previously announced, the anime adaptation of the light novels will be written by Rifujin na Magonote and illustrated by sirotaka, Mushoku Tensei: Unemployed Reincarnation (Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu), hosted a special event in collaboration with the voice actors Yumi Uchiyama (Rudeus’ voice) and Tomokazu sugita (the voice of his former self).
During this event, a new promotional image for the second season of the project, starring the main character, was unveiled Rudeu’s gray rat and a mysterious character with silver hair. In addition to the fact that the premiere is still scheduled for 2023, it was announced that after conducting a new audition Yumi Uchiyama will continue to play now Rudeus (teenager)and the actress shared a comment:
- «I am happy to announce that I will be playing the role of Rudeus in the second season. Rudeus’ growth is a very important element of the play, so I’m very proud to have been selected after an exhaustive audition. I will take that feeling to heart and cherish it when faced with the role of the new Rudeus.».
Rifujin na Magonote began publishing light novels with illustrations by sirotaka in January 2014 via the publishing label MF books from Kadokawaand finished it in November 2022. The manga adaptation of Yuka Fujikawa has been published since May 2014. The work inspired a 23-episode anime adaptation produced by studio bindingdirected and screenplays written by Manabu Okamoto.

Summary for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation
