On Monday, June 13, 2021, Shueisha announced that Monster # 8, Naoya Matsumoto’s Shonen Manga available on MangaPlus, has reached three million copies in circulation. The manga broke the wall of 2.5 million printed copies a little over a week ago and is now setting another record that has reached a historic number.
Monster # 8 is now that Shonen Jump + Manga faster than ever to hit that number, as well as one of the fastest growing plants in the company’s history, alongside Spy x Family and Assassination Classroom. This is a commendable result, especially considering that the manga currently only has 3 volumes floating around.
To celebrate the event, the official Shonen Jump + Twitter profile has a beautiful piece of art by Matsumoto. divided with Kikoru Shinomiya. The celebratory illustration also includes a short message in which the mangaka thanks the fans for their support.
