Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is one of Kyoto Animation’s most successful productions, thanks to flourishing merchandising and good popularity. A second season had been announced for some time but the sequel was no longer discussed for various reasons by hiding in the shadow of another anime.

Nonetheless, KyoAni’s recent efforts have managed to bring out an important segment of the public, as evidence of the numerous cosplay devoted to the series’ main characters. Season 2, announced in February 2019, was flooded with delays and rumors, even after the accident that upset the studio.
