The official website of Measure op. Destiny, the new original anime from Studio MAPPA (Attack of the Giants 4, Jujutsu Kaisen) and Madhouse (One-Punch Man), has confirmed the release date of the first episode. set for October 6th. The anime series was announced last June during the MAP Stage 2021.
The first trailer visible at the top of the article shows the usual spectacular animations, and given the precedents of MAP and Madhouse, It’s normal for fans’ expectations to skyrocket. The animation studios describe the anime’s synopsis as follows: “One day a huge black meteorite falls on the world and changes it drastically. The meteorite produces fearsome creatures called D2 that conquer the earth and forbid all forms of music, the only weapon that can defeat them. However, there are young girls who can control the power of music, called “Musicart”, who fight against D2 under the guidance of their masters, the conductors. The anime tells the story of the conductor Takt and his musicart Destiny, who travels to New York City to destroy D2.“.
Yuuki Itoh (Granblue Fantasy the Animation, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid) is contributing to the anime MAP and Madhouse. Kiyoko Yoshimura (Linebarrels of Iron, The God of High School) curated the script based on the original story by Ouji Hiroi (Sakura Wars) while LAM and Reiko Nagasawa (Overlord III) deal with character design. Yoshihiro Ike (Dororo, Tiger & Bunny) composes the music.
