Written and illustrated by the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga Marimo Ragawa, Mashiro no otothe first promotional video for the project was unveiled. The series confirmed its premiere for April 2021.

Ragawa started publishing the manga in the magazine Monthly Shonen magazine from the publisher Kodansha The publisher published the twenty-fifth volume on May 15.

Synopsis of Mashiro no Oto
The story is about a girl who meets a young man on the street wearing a strange case of a musical instrument. This fate meeting between an idol and an interpreter of the traditional Japanese instrument, the shamisen, will take their lives on a journey of new emotions and projects.
