In the nearly hundred-year history of American superhero comics, four eras can be identified: golden, silver, bronze and modern times. During the Silver Age, Jacob Kurtzberg was one of the key figures that defined the sector and gave life to some characters that have become iconic Jack Kirby.

That king of comics this designation is often used to celebrate and commemorate a man whose work and ideas continue to influence the new generation of artists today, 28 years after his death. Born on 08/28/1917 Kirby managed to differentiate himself in the industry through his collaborations with both Marvel Comics publishers and historical rival DC Comics. Thanks to him and the "smiling" Stan Lee, the house of ideas became one of the giants of the industry, and today, on the day he would have turned 105, enthusiasts shared their wishes on social media and remembered the King.

As you can see from the posts at the bottom of the page, from photos snapped straight out of the 1980s to images of his studio and the superheroes that marked his rise like the Fantastic Four and Captain America, fans joined in the celebrations the 'hashtag'the king"Today.
