The future of Marvel comics goes through the trusted hands of Jason Aaron, the author who directed the perennial Avengers series and recently worked on the next Avengers Forever series. In a long interview with the comic book portal, the author revealed some valuable information about the coming months.
Currently, Jason Aaron has admitted that he is overwhelmed with work. In the next few weeks, Avengers # 50, Avengers Forever # 1 and finally King Conan # 1 will indeed hit the market, all works on which we will find his signature.
Above Avengers forever, the Marvel author has revealed that he already has a clear idea of ββwhere to go. In this new comic book series, events that started in his Thor, Wolverine or Ghost Rider are linked and others that remained unsolved by his 50 volumes of Avengers are completed.
Before Aaron fully delved into the future, Aaron returned to his past, to his early work for Marvel Comics. The author broke into the world of comics by winning a short story competition with a story about Wolverine and then being entrusted with a series of comics dedicated to the subject Wrong-way driver. The superhero with the fiery skull will be one of the main protagonists of his next works.
Ghost Rider, whose identity is now that of Robbie Reyes, is now joined the Avengers in Avengers Forever. This was a very specific choice of the author who wanted distance yourself from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to him, Ghost Rider is one of the characters who usually works best alone and is preoccupied with his own chores, but the idea of ββincluding him in Avengers situations was quite tempting.
With over a decade of experience in Marvel Comics, Jason Aaron almost has carte blanche now, a great opportunity he wants to take advantage of by working on characters he has never explored before. In particular, the Marvel writer has revealed that in Avengers Forever, he will significantly add to the list of characters he has worked on.
Finally, speaking of his future, he concluded the hypothesis of switch to competition. Recently, many of his colleagues, including Matt Rosenberg and Chip Zdarsky, moved to DC Comics and as a good fan he would appreciate the opportunity.
