During the KADOKAWA Light Novel EXPO 2021 event, the production of a second season of the animated adaptation of the light novels was confirmed Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha ((The Demon King Academy outsider). The statement also revealed that the series will have a duration of two arcs, which will air separately (like the second season of Re: Zero), but did not announce a release date.
The ad also contained a promotional image for this second season, starring Anos Voldigoad as the main character.
The first season, in turn, premiered in Japan during the 2020 summer season (July-September) and had a total of thirteen episodes. Shu began publishing the novels in the independent service Shousetsuka ni Narou in April 2017. The publisher Kadokawa publishes novels on paper with illustrations by Yoshinori Shizumaand released the eighth volume on October 10th in Japan.

Synopsis of Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha
In the distant past, war between humans and demons caused widespread chaos and bloodshed. To end this seemingly endless conflict, the Demon King Anos Voldigoad willingly sacrificed his life in the hope of being reborn in a peaceful future.
In preparation for the return of their king, the demonic race established the Demon King Academy, an elite institution whose job it is to determine the identity of Anos when he wakes up. He is reborn two millennia later, but to his surprise, he soon discovers that the level of magic in the world has dropped dramatically in his absence. When he enrolls at the academy to claim his rightful title, he discovers that demons remember him differently. His personality, actions, and even heritage are forged and masked under the name of a fraudster. This "lack" of general knowledge makes him an atypical scientist, an outsider unprecedented in history.
Despite these drawbacks, Anos is unfazed. As he sets out to uncover those who are changing his glorious past, he takes it upon himself to let his descendants realize that their ruler has finally returned.
