On the official page for the franchise created by Magica Quartet and the studies wave, Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica ((Puella Magi Madoka Magica) it was announced that a special project is in the works to mark the tenth anniversary of the original anime's broadcast.

This project already has an official page, a memorial logo and a special illustration by Ume Aoki, the Japanese cartoonist who was responsible for the original character designs for the work. The statement also revealed that special staff messages and memorial illustrations will be released, and some important announcements are expected to be released very soon.

In addition, the original anime was created by the creative group Magica Quartet, consisting of the director Akiyuki Shinbo, the screenwriter Gen Urobuchi, the character designer Ume Aoki and the product Atsuhiro Iwakamiand was premiered on January 7, 2011 with a total of twelve episodes. The work has inspired a variety of spin-off mangas, novels, and video games, some of which have inspired their own anime adaptations.

Synopsis by Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica

Madoka Kanami and Syaak Miki are normal high school girls with normal lives, but all that changes when they meet Kyuubey, a magical feline creature, and Homura Akemi, the new transfer student. Kyuubey offers them a proposal: she will grant each of their desires, and in return each of them will become a magical girl (Mahou Shoujo) who will acquire the power to make their dreams come true.

However, Homura Akemi, who is already a magical girl, tells her not to take the offer, stating that it is not as good as it sounds. Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica is a story of hope, despair and friendship, about the difficulties of becoming and being a magical girl, and the high price that has to be paid to make a dream come true.
