A press release announced the production of a “sequel” to the anime adaptation of the light novels by. announced Kei sazane and illustrated by Ao Nekonabe, Kimi after Boku no Saigo no Senjou, Aruiwa Sekai ga Hajimaru Seisen (KimiSen: Our last crusade or the rise of a new world). Production details and a planned release date were not disclosed, nor was it stated what they mean by “sequel” as it could be a movie or a second season.
The first season aired during the Fall 2020 season (October-December) and had twelve episodes. Kei sazane and Ao Nekonabe the publication of the light novels began on the publisher’s label Fantasy bunko from the publisher Fujimi shobo in May 2017. A manga adaptation by Okama it is published in the magazine Cub from the publisher Hakusensha since May 2018.
Production team
- Shin Oonuma (BOFURI: I don’t want to get hurt, so I’ll maximize my defense, ef: a story of memories, Watamote) and Mirai Minato (Fate / Kaleid Iiner Prisma Illya, Masamune-kun no vengeance, Sunohara-sou no Kanrinin-san) were responsible for directing the first season in the studios SILVER LINK.

Synopsis of Kimi to Boku no Saigo no Senjou, Aruiwa Sekai ga Hajimaru Seisen
A power known as astral power is spread all over the world and is wielded by astral magicians. Fearful of its destructive power, the “Empire” hunts those who flaunt their skills. The tormented wizards then found the sovereignty of Nebulis to flee from their oppressors. Since then, the two nations have been in a bitter conflict, the war still going on for more than a century. After committing the great crime of freeing an imprisoned witch, the talented knight Iska is sentenced to prison.
A year later, the Empire’s leaders suddenly decide to release him on condition that he hunt down a fearsome mage known as the “Witch of the Ice Disaster”. Iska agrees, hoping to end the war. Coincidentally, the ice disaster witch Aliceliese “Alice” Lou Nebulis XI wants peace herself and is ready to do anything to end the empire.
