Aimer becomes the 8th artist or group to surpass 10 million streams in a single week since Oricon began publishing their charts in 2018. (other artists are LiSA, BTS, NiziU, YOASOBI, Yuuri, Ado and BE:FIRST). She is also the fourth solo artist to have done so. The song was streamed (on subscription services) a total of 90,896,379 times from its December 6 release to February 20.
The song also re-topped Oricon’s weekly digital singles chart after two weeks, racking up 24,877 downloads in the last week. It is the song’s sixth time at No. 1 since its December 6 release, and its eleventh consecutive week as a top three digital singles. The song had been downloaded 354,230 times as of February 20.
Synopsis for Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yuukaku-hen
The devastation of the Mugen train incident still weighs heavily on the members of the Demon Slayer Corps. Though given time to recover, life must go on as the wicked never sleep: a malevolent demon is terrorizing the seductive women of the Yoshiwara entertainment district. The Pillar of Sound, Tengen Uzui and his three wives are involved in the case. However, when he soon loses touch with his wives, Tengen fears the worst and enlists the help of Tanjirou Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibira to infiltrate the district’s most prominent homes and track down the corrupt senior demon.
