Reeves also discussed on the panel how he was preparing to play the role of Neo in matrixthe Wachowskis let him watch several times Akira and ghost in the shellto help him break into the world of cyberpunk. Keanu developed an incredible passion for the two souls, especially for Akira, a 1988 film directed by Katsuhiro Otomo, which is still considered a masterpiece of the cyberpunk genre.
