Kaya Haruka passed away on July 6, 2021, but the news was only released during these hours to allow family members and loved ones to hold a private ceremony. The cause of death has not been disclosed, although in the past few days the completion of The Misfit of Demon King Academy’s manga due to a pancreatic tumor was announced by Sensei Kaya Haruka, who no longer allowed the designer to continue her work and who had to fight from 2019. At the time of the announcement of the interruption of the publisher’s manga, the mangaka had already died.

Despite a very short career in the manga world, she had distinguished herself at The Misfit of Demon King Academy for her precise and clean drawings, with the manga that allowed her to hone her talent. Kaya Haruka and the author of the original light novel Shu, on which the hit anime The Misfit of Demon King Academy is based, performed the July 2018 manga adaptation.
