On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga, written and illustrated by Keigo Maki, Kawaii dake yes Nai Shikimori-san (Shikimori isn’t just a cutie) Before the premiere of the adaptation, the start of a special project entitled “Tsukiichi Memory Voice Drama“. The project consists of a monthly illustration accompanied by a Speech drama (a spoken interpretation by the voice actors).
The series is scheduled to premiere in Japan in April 2022. For his part, Maki began publishing this manga on his Twitter account under the title Kawaii dake yes Nai Onnanoko, and later began publishing it through the service Magazine pouch from the publisher Kodansha in February 2019. The publisher published the ninth anthology on July 9, followed by the tenth on October 8 in Japan.

Izumi is a high school student whose life is full of unhappiness. Since his youth he always came home with injuries. Due to her bad luck, her days are full of unfortunate events until she started dating Shikimori. Shikimori can be described as the perfect girlfriend – cute, adorable, and incredibly in love with Izumi. However, sometimes she’s not that charming, she becomes the coolest friend in the scariest way possible. Her demanding presence and genuine concern for Izumi’s well-being always takes her breath away. With the friendly and at the same time great Shikimori at Izumi’s side, her unhappy days are over and bring a life full of happiness and warmth.
