The manga of Kaguya-sama: Love is War went to the final arc in December 2020, and writer Aka Akasaka has finally decided to speak to the fans and leave a nice message in Volume 22 of the work. In the letter, the mangaka thanks the audience for their support, e reveals new details at the end of the story.
“The last chapter is getting closer“wrote the author,”and we are finally in the last arc. At the moment I don’t know how long the series will last but i already wrote the end in my head. From now on, each chapter is written with the intention of getting closer to the finale, with a detour or two to explore some characters that deserve a little more space. Generally, I would say the story reached a turning point in Volume 14, and from now on I’ll focus even more on the relationship between Kaguya and Miyuki. In the future we’re going to stray a bit from the “comedy” side of Romcom, I know some don’t like it but I think it’s right in terms of the characters. I want to close the story with the ending I have in mind and I hope it can satisfy you all“.
In the message, Aka Akasaka also spoke a few words about the manga’s success, saying he was delighted with the support received and the appalling amount of adaptations that resulted from his work with three seasons of anime, two live-action films, and several Filming was made -Off. The author also stated that he was tired, and having thought several times about moving and living on an income. While waiting to find out what the future holds for him, Akasaka stated that it remains his priority, Kaguya-sama: Love is to finish war in the best possible way by writing something he would have liked to see when he was one Would have been a reader.
