The series of Jujutsu KaisenCurrently on hiatus due to the author’s health, is one of the most watched works from Weekly Shonen Jump, a magazine shared with Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man until December 2020. Although the two series are very different, Fujimoto has chosen to pay homage to one of the characters from the Institute of Occult Arts.
While the community was deeply impressed by the one-shot look back posted on the Manga Plus website and others continue to discuss the quality of the trailer for Chainsaw Man, a series produced by the MAPPA studio, user @ ChainsawManShot two illustrations published from the mangaka made. As you can see from the post at the bottom of the page, the first drawing is entirely dedicated to the film Psycho Goreman, 2020 horror / sci-fi comedy directed by Steven Kostanski.
The second portrays instead Nobara Kugisaki, a freshman at the Tokyo Institute of Occult Arts as she prepares for her classic hammer and nail technique, full of cursed energy and ready to devastate any opponent. ON very loyal tribute to the original Akutami design, and perfectly successful, especially for the attention paid to recreating the pose of the attack. After a break of more than a month, Jujutsu Kaisen returns with chapter 153 in issue 35 of the Weekly Shonen Jump, which marks the final return to the scene of the protagonist Yuji Itadori.
