Gege Akutami has accustomed its readers to the twists and turns more than once Jujutsu Kaisen, some of which are truly unpredictable. The final chapter left fans excited, but how did the villain pull off his plan?

Sukuna took control of Fushiguro, a move that the author probably already expected in the past and which made the dangerous curse possible Break free from Yuji’s control. His plan actually came about several chapters ago when he won a bet against Itadori, which at the behest of Sukuna was forgotten by the protagonist, allowing him to gain control of his body for a minute.

It was enough for the curse to say the word it chose as its “trigger” to take Yuji’s place. The goal was simple: Make Megumi swallow a finger from Itadori and merge into him. To make that happen, Sukuna used a single bet as well as the protagonist’s biggest mistake of not taking care of himself. Yuji had donated his body so the villain wouldn’t kill or hurt anyone, but without including a clause about his own health.

Don’t worry about your body Itadori accepted Sukuna’s offer who was thus able to easily cut off a finger of its owner, only to have it swallowed by Megumi. A perfect plan, the result of an absolutely successful bet. And you, however, what do you think of the strategy of the curse? Let us know with a comment below.
