There has long been talk of a Jigokuraku anime: Hell’s Paradise, a manga by Yuji Kaku that survived for a few years on Shueisha’s digital magazine, Shonen Jump+. Despite its short sequel, obviously intended and planned by the author, The work got a lot of visibility and was greatly appreciated, with excellent sales.
The anime will be released on Crunchyroll throughout 2023, signed by Studio MAPPA, now one of the most prolific and well-known animation studios on the Japanese scene. A lot of quality is expected, some of which is already evident in the first trailers and visuals of Jigokuraku: Hell’s Paradise. While Yuji Kaku’s work is still in production and awaiting final release later this year, they will continue to be revealed official information from the twin engine manufacturer.
This starts right on the company’s YouTube channel Trailer for Jigokuraku: Hell’s Paradise with four characters brand new, complete with voice and therefore with voice actors involved. The first is a white-haired man, Yamada Asaemon Shion, voiced by Chikahiro Kobayashi. The second is Yamada Asaemon Tenza, voiced by Yusuke Kobayashi instead. The third is a black woman, Nurugai, voiced by Makoto Koichi. Finally, the last one is a chubby man named Yamada Asaemon Senta and his voice is that of Daiki Yamashita.
Jigokuraku: Hell’s Paradise will be distributed in Japan and the rest of the world from April 2023. It is not yet known how many episodes the anime will consist of and whether it will be a single season or everything will be split into several parts given the nature of the work being shorter than usual and now over.
