On the official site for the animated adaptation of light novels by Yuuki Yaku and illustrated by Fly, Jaku-chara Tomozaki-kun ((Bottom tier character Tomozaki) a new promotional video of the project was released. The announcement also confirmed that the series will have a total of twelve episodes, according to the information on the Blu-ray / DVD compilation volumes:
- Volume 1 (episodes 1 and 2) – March 3, 2021.
- Volume 2 (episodes 3 and 4) – April 2, 2021.
- Volume 3 (Episodes 5 and 6) – May 7, 2021 (including OVA).
- Volume 4 (episodes 7 and 8) – June 2, 2021 (contains an OVA).
- Volume 5 (episodes 9 and 10) – July 2, 2021.
- Volume 6 (episodes 11 and 12) – August 4, 2021.
The series is scheduled to premiere on January 8, 2021 in Japan. For their part, Yaku and Fly began to publish the light novels through the publisher Shogakukan in May 2016. The publisher published the eighth volume on April 17th. The work also inspires a manga adaptation by hand Eight chidawho published it in the magazine Monthly Gangan Joker from the publisher Square enix since December 2017. On April 17th the publisher published the third compilation volume.
The announcement also revealed the dust jacket and cover art of the project’s first compiled Blu-ray / DVD volume.
