Disney + has come up with an important and unique project for the Star Wars franchise. While production of live-action films and TV series continues, the entertainment giant has teamed up with Japanese animation studios to create the anthology series Star Wars: Visions.
Science Saru, Production IG, Studio Trigger, Kinema Citrus and many others are the major names involved in this project. Everyone thought of their own world your own vision of Star Wars and put it in this animated project. So we have some episodes that are separate from each other but that together make a unique product. Star Wars: Visions was promoted with flying colors, but one question keeps fans busy: is it canon?
Producers Kanako Shirasaki and James Waugh recently talked about it. states that Star Wars: Visions is not currently canonical and therefore it is not an integral part of the Jedi and Sith universe. However, the stories seen could somehow return to the distant galaxy in the next few years with other productions and in other ways.
It was also predictable considering how these many realities created a unique and different product, but also in some parts contradicting the rules of the universe created by George Lucas.
