The second episode of the animated manga adaptation of Nanashi, Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san ((Don’t play with me, Miss Nagatoro), had some differences from the original manga that were quickly recognized by the most attentive fans. While most noticed that the appearance of Nagatoro and her friends in the cafeteria scene had changed, there was one other change that went largely unnoticed.
This change relates to the scene describing a vampire horror movie. While in the animated adaptation the film was described with a busty and blonde vampire, the vampire is different in the original version of the manga and only appears in a black cloak..
The most accomplished fans probably already knew, but this vampire is actually “Yupiel-sama“, Main character of the famous hentai manga Yupiel-sama no Gebokumade by the same author Nanashi. Yet, Since the author has already removed everything related to his past in the adult manga industry from all official media, it is not surprising that the production changed the design of the vampire and removed the reference.
On the other hand, Nanashi started to publish the manga through the service Magazine pouch from the publisher Kodansha Y. Pixiv in November 2017. The piece inspired an anime adaptation produced by the studios Telecommunication animation film, Headed by Hirokazu Hanai and scripts written by Taku Kishimoto, currently on the radio.
