During the event AnimeJapan 2023, Records of the Evil Line announced the production of a second season for the original anime Hypnosis Microphone: Division Rap Battle β Rhyme Anima. This second season is titled Hypnosis Mic: Division Rap Battle – Rhyme Anima Plusbut the production team or a planned premiere date have not been announced.
It is a Japanese multimedia project by King Records under his seal Records of the Evil Line. The characters were designed by idea factory under his seal ottomanwith Yuichiro Momose as lead author. Consisting of eighteen voice actors, the project focuses on rap battles where fans vote for their favorite team. The CDs have topped the music charts, and the franchise has expanded to include manga adaptations, stage adaptations, a smartphone game, and an anime.

In a world dominated by wars and conflicts, the World Party introduced “hypnotic microphones,” devices through which the user channels letters that can affect the listener’s brain and even cause physical harm. Hypnosis microphones have revolutionized warfare, making words and music the only weapons used by gangsters, terrorists and the military, with the use of physical weapons outlawed.
