Hirohiko Araki was born on June 7th, 1960 and is celebrating her 61st birthday today! Happy birthday to the brilliant head behind it JoJo’s bizarre adventure, one of the community’s most valued works.
The Japanese author is originally from Sendai and has excited the audience from all over the world with his art and his unique and atypical storytelling. His love for comics and art in general was born at a young age. However, Araki doesn’t begin drawing manga until high school and tries, albeit unsuccessfully, to get his work published in various magazines.
There Araki’s career began when he met a shueisha publisher, under whose guidance he created his first successful manga, Poker Under Arms, a story set in the Wild West that focuses on the game of poker.
In 1987 Araki’s path took a completely different turn. Weekly Shonen Jump will be released on first chapter of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, a work that is still one of the most widely read and valued by the community today. Its central series has sold over 100 million copies in Japan alone, which are translated into all common languages ββand comprise a total of over 130 volumes.
Over time, Araki has managed to continuously refine his style and become one of the most famous mangaka The modern era. At sixty-one, his career is still at its peak! We wish Master Araki all the best once again.
A new yo-yo event has been scheduled for June, and the release date of the Stone Ocean anime will likely be announced. JoJo meets PokΓ©mon, here’s the crossover you weren’t expecting.
