On the official page for the animated adaptation of the light novels Hige wo Soru. Soshite Joshikousei wo Hirou (Higehiro: After I got rejected, I shaved and picked up a high school runaway) a new promotional video of the project was released. The video summarizes the events of the ten episodes previously broadcast before the final section of the story.
The series has been airing in Japan since last April 5 and has been confirmed with a total of thirteen episodes while the platform Crispy roll takes care of sales in the west. On the other hand, light novels written by Shimesaba and illustrated by Booota were published through the publisher’s label Bunko sneakers of Kadokawa between February 2018 and June 2021, in five volumes.

Summary of Hige wo Soru. Soshite Joshikousei wo Hirou
Schreiber Yoshida has been in love with his colleague Airi Gotou for five years. Although he finally gets a date with her, his confession is quickly rejected. Drunk and disappointed, he stumbles home only to see a high school girl sitting on the side of the road. The girl, who needs a place to stay, tries to seduce Yoshida, who, although she refuses her advances, invites her to his apartment.
The next morning, the girl, who introduces herself as Sayu Ogiwara, reveals that she has fled from Hokkaido to Tokyo. During his six-month trip, he constantly traded sexual favors for a roof over his head. However, Yoshida is not convinced of her seduction. Instead, he asks you to do a different type of job that involves doing the dishes and washing clothes. And so begins a heartwarming relationship between a heartbroken adult and a runaway high school girl.
